Lot: 731     Category: Australian Pre Federation Banknotes > One Pound
Description: Bank of Victoria, Melbourne Vic 30-9-1904 (MVR 3c). Fully signed and issued 1 Pound. In superior grade, especially for a large issued note from this period. Lovely design and style, with one small minor edge tear on bottom border that doesnt detract from the note. Ex IAG Sale 74 June 2011 (Lot 565 sold $45,435) and Sale 81 (Lot 221 estimate $9,000). Probably the finest of only perhaps 4 or 5 examples known. Extremely rare.    VF/gVF
