| Description: Proposed note design trial N/D (c1982). A proposal mock-up of a possible design. Appears to be a final design, mounted in cardboard frame (32cm x 16cm) with clear protective overlay, front design only. Design features a Wombat, Frilled-necked Lizard, Kangaroo, Cockatoo and portrait. In blue and grey with 100, AUSTRALIA at left, One Hundred Dollars at bottom, Phillips-Wheeler signatures and serials NKG 000000 twice along bottom. By designer, Max Robinson as part of a series of designs for the RBA and similar to the cover note for Vort-Ronalds book AUSTRALIAN DECIMAL BANKNOTES AND DESIGNS. Interesting and rare, high retail value. |
