Description: Holey Dollar Five Shillings NSW 1813 contemporary forgery, once buried with faint crude impression of an 8 Reales design/lettering Charles III or IIII Mexico undetermined. Ex the Davis family until 1924, D Davis until 1968 and P Spalding collection. Illustrated in Spalding pp 258 (fig 87) and Mira/Noble (1784-1801 C NDV/1) pp 72. Pitted and worn with a too large central hole crudely cut out. Rare and collectable.   GOOD
