  Lot: 1477 Category: Holey Dollars and Dumps Description: Holey Dollar Five Shillings NSW 1813 contemporary forgery. Struck on an 1813 JP Ferdinand VII 8 Reales, Lima mint. Ex Canadian Numismatic Association auction, Canadian Coin Exchange 1961 (Lot 2262), Spink and Sons Ltd WB Peck Collection, R Jewell collection, P Spalding collection. Illustrated in Spalding pp 235 (fig 823) and Mira/Noble (c1813/1) pp 71. Interesting in that the forger had missed the date 1813, resulting in a dateless countermark coin.   Lot: 1482 Category: Australian And Related Coin Rarities Description: Kookaburra Pattern Penny 1920 Type 10. NB: Currently at PCGS and awaiting grading confirmation. The excessively rare Crowned Head type. With only a handful of examples of this type known, this is the key coin in the Kookaburra Penny series, and is unique in the crowned portrait of George V. A superb example, with light salmon toning and beautiful fields. Ex the Le Soeuf collection (the former Melbourne Mint Master), and the Osborne Collection of Patterns and Proofs Spink Nobles S 42 July 1993 (Lot 1424). Last offered in IAG Sale 69 March 2009 (Lot 324 - sold for $343,675). With tag as sold previously for $395,000. Extremely rare and a highly important coin that is seldom offered.
