  Lot: 330 Category: Australian Gold Coins Description: Sovereign. 1855 Sydney Mint, Type I. Victoria Young head. PCGS graded MS 63 (80726282). Bright fresh mint bloom with mirror surfaces, a cameo portrait and fantastic sharp details. Ex the Quartermaster collection lot 25 as probably the finest known for $170,000. Previously ex AHF Baldwin, Spink Australia Sale 2 1978 (lot 573 for $11,000) Spink Sale 19 July 1986 (lot 729 for $26,500), R Jaggard collection 1989 and private treaty to Paul Terry. Only one example graded higher at MS 64, and as such the second finest known and superb. Ch.UNC Estimate: $160,000 -$170,000
